The Health Resources County Comparison Tool (HRCCT) is intended to enable local health planners,
administrators and researchers to compare health status indicators and available health resources
for their county (or county equivalents) to peer counties nationwide.
Peer counties are those that are similar in population size, density, age distribution, and poverty.
The tool links health resource data from the Area Resource File with Community Health Status Indicators (CHSI) data.
The ability to directly compare similar counties may assist analysts and health planners in identifying areas in which they lack vital
community resources to address health problems.
By selecting [1] a state, [2] a county of interest within that state, and [3] a peer county grouping criterion of interest,
a list of peer counties is displayed. After selecting counties for comparison, the user can choose between summary or detailed views of the county data.
